Overview  My unique approach to creating infographics for the "Top 100 Spotify Favorite Songs" database was part of a student project. The project aimed to develop infographics based on the LATCH framework (Location, Alphabet, Timeline, Category, Hierarchy). If you are interested read more here.

LATCH is an acronym representing five key elements used in information design and data visualization.

It stands for:

Location: Organizing data based on geographic or spatial context.
Alphabet: Sorting data alphabetically to facilitate quick user search and comparison.
Timeline: Using chronological elements to present changes in data over time.
Category: Grouping data based on common categories or themes to aid analysis and understanding.
Hierarchy: Introducing a hierarchical structure to emphasize the significance of data elements and their relationships.

LATCH is a design tool that helps designers and graphic creators efficiently organize data in a way that is both effective and accessible to the audience, enhancing comprehension and usability of information.

Category

I have categorized the records according to the emotional states that this music evokes in me. Like the other posters kept in a style corresponding to the music.

Hierarchy

I have introduced a hierarchy, highlighting the key pieces that have gained the most popularity at this stage of life.

All in one

In the end, one of the more difficult tasks was to lay out the infographics on a single sheet in B1 format. Curious about the effect? Check it out below!
