Where Psychology Meets Design
My path to design began with a curiosity about how people perceive, understand and respond to information. I completed a five-year Master’s degree in Psychology, specialising in Media and Advertising. This background continues to influence the way I approach design — with attention to the audience, context and purpose behind every visual decision.
From Research to Visual Communication
For over eight years, I worked in market research at Kantar and IQS, translating consumer research, data and complex business insights into reports, presentations and infographics.
Working at the intersection of research, data and visual communication taught me how to structure information, identify what matters and turn complex content into clear visual stories.
Expanding the Design Toolkit
To develop my digital design skills, I completed a UX/UI Design programme at Software Development Academy, exploring user-centred design, research, information architecture and interface design. I also completed postgraduate studies in Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, expanding my practice across typography, editorial design, DTP and visual identity.
Independent Practice
Since 2021, alongside my professional work, I have been developing my own design practice under bykajanerlo.
I collaborate with businesses, agencies and organisations on brand identities, digital products, WordPress websites, editorial design, presentations and visual communication — from defining the creative direction to designing and implementing the final outcome.
I also collaborate with Valkea, a creative agency working with clients in the shopping centre and commercial real estate sector. My work includes developing key visuals, presentation design and visual communication as part of broader 360° marketing campaigns.
Current work - Statistics Poland
I currently work at Statistics Poland (GUS), where I lead the development of visual and digital solutions for communicating statistical information. My role combines art direction, design and project oversight. I define visual directions, develop new solutions, coordinate their implementation and help maintain consistency across publications, digital products and communication materials.
My work spans digital publications, websites, data visualisation, visual systems, presentations and accessibility. I work from concept and information structure through to design and implementation, always looking for ways to make complex statistical content clearer, more accessible and engaging.
This role allows me to combine my background in research, visual communication and design with a growing focus on information design, digital products and accessibility.
